Orlando Area Attractions

New multi-day attraction ticket announced!

As a member of the Central Florida Vacation Rental Managers Association, the staff at Florida Homes International attend the monthly meetings regularly.  At the most recent meeting, held yesterday at Providence Golf & Country Club, two very interesting things were announced!

First, a new multi-day attraction ticket was unveiled.  The ticket allows adults or children admission to several different attractions in Polk County that most visitors to Central Florida do not even know about, as most everyone comes here for Disney World and to see Mickey Mouse.  Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, and Explorations V Children’s Museum in Lakeland are just a few of the 10 or so great attractions you can visit with this ticket.  The cost is $69.99 for adults and $39.99 for kids, plus tax of course.  You can purchase a 14 day version directly through the vendor (which will be announced & linked at a later time, unfortunately!) or by visiting the brand-new visitor’s center in Polk County, the Polk Outpost 27 near I-4 in Davenport.  If you purchase your ticket(s) at the visitor’s center, you also have the option of purchasing a 7 day ticket instead of the 14 day version, just ask!

The ticket also grants you free admission to the rodeo held every Saturday at the Westgate River Ranch Resort.  This resort is home to the largest fully-functioning dude ranch in the southeastern US.  Located right on the Kissimmee River, this resort offers kids of all ages loads of activities such as mini-golf, a petting zoo, and of course the Saturday night rodeo!

Lastly the visitor’s center in Davenport, otherwise known as Polk Outpost 27, will be drawing a winner for a free week’s stay in an area vacation home!  The contest begins June 1, 2008.  You can enter by visiting Polk Outpost 27 in the morning at 9:00am (right when they open) and fill out a registration card.  While you’re there, take the tour and let the knowledgable guides tell you all there is to know about many of the exciting things Polk County has to offer!

New Simpson’s Ride At Universal Studios Orlando, Florida

Step right up folks! Come one, come all as Krusty the Clown welcomes kids of all ages to Krustyland when you visit the new Simpson’s ride at Universal Studios Orlando. Transport yourself to Springfield, USA as you make your way through the line and get further in to Krusty’s very own section of the theme park. Watch a clip or two of classic Simpson’s episodes on one of the many built in flat-screen TV’s while you wait to start up one of the three levels of entry in to the ride area. Once inside, groups of 8 will be escorted to their respective ride vehicle entry areas, where Krusty’s friends (and an enemy or two!) will bring you up to speed with what the ride is all about. Once the ride starts, hang on - it’s going to be bumpy! And keep your nose open…the creators of this ride have their finger on the pulse of creating Smell-O-Vision! Whether you’ve been a fan of “The Simpsons” for the 20-some years the cartoon series has been on network television or you have only heard stories of the antics that can be found on the show, everyone is in for a treat when it comes to the new Simpson’s ride at Universal Studios Orlando. After the ride is over, don’t forget to stop in to the Kwik-E-Mart for a Red Lime or Green Cherry Squishee… or one of your other favorite treats!
